Why we built Fulment.

Since 2019 we have talked with more than 5,000 merchants, mostly wholesalers, distributors and small manufacturers. Before Fulment, we built Stock Register, inventory software for them, because their stock records couldn’t be trusted. More than 300,000 businesses have registered for it, with paying users in 40+ countries.

In those conversations the same day kept coming up. Skilled people spent it retyping purchase orders into the ERP, chasing suppliers for dates, answering “where is my order?” and reminding customers about invoices. Growing meant hiring more people for that work, and what each person knew about a customer stayed in their inbox.

ERPs keep the record, but they don’t do the work. So we are building Fulment to do it: every step from the quote to the cash, in the ERP and inbox a business already runs on. It starts by asking, shows where every number came from, and takes over one action at a time, the way you come to trust a new hire.
