AI quote and order automation for distributors

Never lose a customer to a slow quote or a late order.

Fulment turns customer emails, RFQs and purchase orders into quotes and sales orders ready to confirm, with your pricing and stock checked. It flags what needs a decision and watches every order until it ships.

From RFQ to shipped order

What you quote is what you can ship.

Quoting and fulfillment usually live apart. Fulment checks the same prices and stock for both.

Automated quoting

No more slow quotes.

Your inside sales team stops looking things up. Every RFQ arrives as a draft quote to review and send.

  • Their price from each customer's agreement, never the list price by mistake.
  • Stock checked on every line before the price goes out.
  • Nothing rekeyed, so no wrong item, price or ship-to.

Multi-warehouse fulfillment, backorders and partial shipments

No more late orders.

When an order can't ship as asked (short stock, a backorder, a late supplier), you see every option before anyone promises a date.

  • Every warehouse checked, plus inbound supply; ready lines ship today, the rest backordered.
  • Only approved substitutes, the ones this customer already accepts.
  • Margin checked first, freight included, against your floor.

AI quote and order automation FAQ

Questions distributors ask.

Does Fulment send quotes or orders without approval?

No. Fulment never sends a quote, order, customer reply or price change without your team's approval. Fulment prepares each one in full, with the source of every value, and your inside sales or order desk team decides what goes to the customer.

Does Fulment work with my ERP?

Yes. Fulment connects read-only to your ERP during onboarding, agreed with your system owner, and reads items, price lists, stock by location and customer part numbers. Your ERP stays the system of record: Fulment only changes a record when your team approves it and has granted that access, and every quote and order your team approves is ERP-ready.

What happens when Fulment gets something wrong?

Fulment holds anything unclear or conflicting for review instead of guessing, and shows the source of every value, so a wrong match is easy to spot and correct before it reaches a customer. The first order test shows exactly where Fulment is still wrong on your own orders.

How does Fulment keep our data secure?

Fulment starts with read-only access to your inbox and ERP. Nothing is written to your ERP or sent to a customer unless your team approves it, using only the access you grant. Your data is encrypted, kept separate from every other company's, and never used to train AI models.

Can Fulment handle complex orders, partial shipments and change orders?

Yes. Fulment converts units of measure such as cases and pallets with each customer's rule, splits shipments by ship-to and warehouse, applies change orders to the same PO, and releases a partial shipment while short lines go to backorder. Conflicting quantities, prices below contract and unreadable scans get one specific question, never a guess.

How does Fulment handle backorders, short stock and multi-warehouse fulfillment?

When an order can't ship as asked, Fulment checks stock on hand by location and inbound supply, then lays out the options: shipping from a second warehouse, an approved substitute, a later date, or a partial shipment with the rest on backorder, each with its delivery date and margin after freight. Your team picks one before anyone promises the customer a date.

How does Fulment match customer part numbers to our items?

Fulment matches each customer's part numbers and descriptions, such as “2-inch blue”, to your items using your customer part number list and order history, and shows the source of every match. When a description fits more than one item, Fulment holds the line and asks instead of picking one.

Do we still need EDI or our OCR tool?

Keep EDI for the trading partners who use it. Fulment handles the orders EDI doesn't cover: everything that arrives as email, PDF, scan or spreadsheet. Unlike OCR, Fulment needs no template per customer, matches customer part numbers, and handles complex orders and order changes line by line, holding anything unclear for review instead of rekeying it.

How is Fulment different from other AI order entry tools?

AI order entry usually stops when the order line is in your ERP. Fulment also checks whether the order can ship as asked, compares the options when it can't, and watches each promise until the order ships. Fulment does not plan routes or book carriers.

Can Fulment read orders from email, PDFs and scans?

Yes. Fulment reads the email and its attachments, including PDFs, scans and spreadsheets, and cites each product, quantity and unit of measure to where it came from. Anything missing or conflicting is held for review, and an unreadable scan gets a request for a clearer copy.

How do we get started with Fulment?

Start with one redacted order, which we run with you on a 30-minute call. Then connect your shared order inbox and ERP read-only, run Fulment alongside your team to compare its drafts with theirs, and go live with one inbox or a few customers at a time.

What is AI quote and order automation?

AI quote and order automation is software that reads customer emails, RFQs and purchase orders and prepares the quote or sales order your team would otherwise key in by hand: customer and items matched, customer pricing applied and stock checked. Fulment is AI quote and order automation for distributors and keeps the source of every value, so your team confirms instead of retyping.

Who is Fulment for?

Fulment is for distributors' inside sales, customer service and order desk teams: the people who turn customer emails, RFQs and purchase orders into quotes and sales orders. It fits distributors who receive many orders as emails, PDFs and spreadsheets rather than through EDI.
